Standards of Practice and Professionalism

GCA is comprised of professionals who are involved in promoting relevant public policy, legislation, and development of educational opportunities and mechanisms to ensure the highest possible professional conduct and performance of those who serve as professional fiduciaries.

Through comprehensive Standards of Practice and Standards of Professionalism, we promote the following:

  • To incorporate the Standards of Practice and Professionalism into the professional practice of GCA practitioners.

  • To address the need in Oregon for standards that surpass the existing minimum statutory requirements

  • To use the Standards as a basis for ongoing education, training, and certification of practitioners.

  • To consider formalization of certain Standards as administrative rules and statutes.

These Standards were revised and adopted by the GCA Board of Directors in April 1998.
